Mental Health First Aid is like CPR for the mind. Join Dr. Barbara Morris for this two-part training. It offers helpful ways to approach people to offer support and care in a non-stigmatizing way. This can be applied to our patients as well as our team members. Most of us have negative connotations when we think of Mental Health. Whereas, Mental health is just a different kind of health problem. The earlier you notice it the better you can mitigate the severity of symptoms – this is a way to do preventative care. In Mental Health First Aid Training, you learn about mental health, how to engage people in crisis, and how to protect yourself.
Equip yourself to provide Whole Person Care.
The training will take place April 11th and April 18th from 7:30-12:00 each day. The training is a total of 8 hours and you MUST attend both sessions to complete it. For nurses, you will receive 8 CEUs for participating.
